Seers

The Seers are a loosely organized network of street-level mystics, prophets, and beggars who peddle glimpses of the future for a few credits at a time. Most lack true precognitive ability, relying instead on cryptic, half-poetic fortune-telling, worn-out implants, and scraps of black-market information.

You’ll find them in the urban sprawl—hawking omens in open markets, tucked down slum alleys, or hunched beneath neon-lit scaffolds. Their readings blend old ritual with new tech: tea leaves steeped in nano-ink, tarot cards laced with quantum algorithms.

Among the poor and working class, Seers still hold a fragile trust. The authorities dismiss them as harmless charlatans, barely worth the trouble. But in the city’s underbelly, they remain useful. The Resistance and the Oracle occasionally employ Seers for information gathering, surveillance, or even subtle propaganda—nudging public perception by directing their “prophecies” toward convenient narratives.

Despite their limited influence, the Seers persist—a marginal but enduring presence in the cracks of every major city.
